Pet Shock
I'm still in shock over a pet death I still havent let go. HELP.?!?
See I lost my baby,my world,my little munchkin on october 13 at 5:27 p.m. I have a few question that I need...no HAVE to have answered....
1.Is it weird that I know every bit of information of his death.? (date,time,etc)
2.Is it weird that I still haven't gotten over it.? (today's date is November 11,2009)
3.How come I haven't gotten over it.?
4.Is it weird to mourn an animals death.?
I cry daily....
I miss my puppy.
He is my world.
He was a little chihuahua.

Aww i'm really sorry to hear about your pet.
It's not wierd. Everyone deals with things differently. I'm sure you were really close to your pet and took great care of her, that's why it's soo hard for you to let go. A lot of people don't understand but for some people pets are like family to them.
In this world, death is something we are all going to have to deal with. It's definitely not easy but I think the best thing to remember is that there isn't really anything permanent in this world. Everyone/thing has a time to go. Just hang on to the good memories that you had. Even though your pet is gone you still remember all the cute things he did, all the fun stuff you guys did together! Losing him doesn't mean you have to lose everything about him. Turn your sadness nto something positive; use that energy to help others. Maybe volunteer at a animal hospital/ humane society! Try to concentrate on school/family.
It's ok to be sad, we have emotions for a reason just don't let it take over your life.
I am not sure how you are, sometimes it's not a good idea to get a pet right away because some people will still be sad about their other pet and won't get close to the new one or just will have negative feelings towards the pet since its not the same pet. Get one when you are ready for it.
