battery post a little to small, a mechanic told me that i could buy a lead sleeve for post?

to slightly increase diameter of my positive battery post, has anybody heard of this? thanks

No, I can't say I have ever heard of a sleeve. However, what I have done is go to the auto parts store and get the correct size battery terminal. It has a clamp with two screws to hold the cable and will fit properly and snug. A loose battery cable can mimic many other problems. Also this will allow you to keep the battery terminals cleaner.
