is it possible for my dog to wear a regular backpack?

i am going hiking early in the morning that's why i can't buy a doggy backpack at a store.they are going to be closed.

Yes but if you actually want the dog to carry anything, you'll want to invest in a dog pack. I doubt a human backpack would stay in place very well or be very comfortable for the dog.
