Electrical tape inside computer?
I was wondering if it would be unheard of to use electrical tape inside of the computer to hold wires against the motherboard tray.
According to Speedfan the hottest my computer case ever gets is 50-60c 122-140 and that is the graphics card which runs the heat out the back.
Some other forums i have read say that electrical tape may become gummy...
If not electrical tape, what do you recommend for holding a few wires to the motherboard tray?
Since all you want to secure are wires, I would use plastic locking cable ties. Click on the source link I posted below for a picture. They come in white, black and many colors and lengths. Wrap them around the wires. Then secure the loop around any other component or through any available hole. Or use two of them cross-linked together with one loop around the wires and the other loop secured to any fixed object or component.
They are also easy to cut and remove and don't leave any sticky residue. I use cable ties at work and at home.
